We’ve seen worries about scratches on expensive phones and debris breaking the keyboard on expensive MacBooks, but a piece of debris distorting the screen on a $1,980 phone after one day of use feels like it’s on an entirely different level. — The Verge
The new Samsung folding phone definitely got off to a rocky start. Like others have said, I'm almost impressed it got this close to release in the state it is (was?), but at the same time not entirely surprised given my own past experiences.
Having been involved in device launches from the ground level in the past, I can confirm the obvious: this is pretty bad. I absolutely feel for the teams at Samsung that are going to have to recover from this.
